Detours: "Parallels" Dance Styles Comparison

Detours is an experimental dance collaboration ( Midus, Rawbzilla, David "Elsewhere" Bernal, Kujo, Squid, Skywalker...) rooted in breakdancing, popping, and other new dance forms.

Detours showcases a variety of unconventional new dance styles and gathers historical footage from around the world to illustrate parallel developments in dance between cultures and eras.

"Parallels" is a 10 minute dance video scene comparing current B-Boy poppin and lockin to vintage clips of African and global dance, jazz and swing, martial arts, and athletics.
