Imagining Mozambique

Afin de venir en aide aux enfants du Mozambique, l'ASEM (Association en faveur de l’Enfance Mozambicaine), vient de mettre en ligne un très beau site en Flash: Imagining Mozambique.

Dans le cadre de ce projet humanitaire, un collectif d'artistes s'est uni pour une exposition itinérante qui a débuté à la Maxalot Gallery à Amsterdam.




The traveling art show collective "Imagining Mozambique", premiers at the Maxalot Gallery in Amsterdam as a fundraising drive for ASEM, a non-profit organization that helps the children and orphans of Mozambique.

51 Japanese Characters - 51 Personnages Japonais

Peter Machat, étudiant en Design à la Bauhaus University de Weimar (Allemagne), a réalisé un panorama d’une cinquantaine de personnages de la vie culturelle japonaise.

Otaku, Jukensei, Narikin, Obatarian, Cosplay, Bosozoku, Soap-jo, sont parmi les 51 figurines emblématiques de la société japonaise présentées sur ce site.




Developed by Peter Machat during his stay as an exchange student at the Nagoya Zokei University in Japan, "51 Japanese Characters" is a collection of figurines showcasing several typical members and cultural phenomena of Japanese society.

The title Superelectronic is "a reference to the nature of life being electricity, and man attempting to replicate his own creation through electrical devices".

Superelectronic won an honorary mention in canon's 2002 CDCC (Canon Digital Creators Contest).
