Présenté en Sélection Officielle, hors compétition, au Festival de Cannes 2007, U2 3D est un documentaire filmé en 3D, de la tournée "Vertigo Tour" du groupe U2.

A partir d'une histoire surréaliste de l'écrivain américain Sherwood Anderson (1876-1941) intitulée "The Dumb Man", Lainy Voom a réalisé ce très beau film court en machinima (technique consistant à réaliser un film en utilisant un moteur de jeu vidéo), sur Second Life.



From Sherwood Anderson's surreal story, "The Dumb Man", Lainy Voom created this beautiful short machinima film using Second Life (all the colours and effects have been achieved within Second Life)

Grand Guignol Theater of Horror and Fear - Le Theatre de l'Horreur et de la Peur

Le Théâtre du Grand Guignol, fondé en 1897 par Oscar Méténier et situé rue Chaptal à Paris 9e, était spécialisé dans le spectacle d'horreurs macabres et sanguinolentes.

Le Théâtre du Grand Guignol a connu un succès considérable à La Belle Epoque, attirant les amateurs de sensations fortes qui venaient voir des pièces aux intrigues gore, érotico-sadiques, criminelles et démentielles...

Mais le public, marqué par les horreurs de la seconde guerre mondiale, bouda le Théâtre du Grand Guignol et dut fermer ses portes en 1963.

Founded in 1897 by Oscar Méténier, The Grand Guignol (Le Théâtre du Grand Guignol) was a theater in the Pigalle area of Paris specialized in naturalistic horror shows ranging from suspenseful crime dramas to bawdy sex farces.

During "The Belle Epoque" Era, The Grand Guignol Theatre flourished, becoming one of the most popular tourist attractions in Paris.

After World War II horrors, the Grand Guignol’s formula no longer had the same impact with audiences, and in 1963, it closed its doors.

Harbin Ice and Snow Festival - Festival Neige et Glace de Harbin

Harbin, surnommée dans les années 1930 le "Paris de l'Orient" et capitale de l'ancienne Mandchourie (nord-est), est l'une des villes les plus froides de Chine.

Chaque année a lieu le "Harbin Ice and Snow Big World" (festival de sculpture de glace et de neige) où sont exposés pendant un mois des blocs de glace transformés notamment en palais chinois, églises russes et cathédrales françaises, qui s'illuminent la nuit venue.

Harbin, capital of the Heilongjiang Province in Northeast China and ranked as the tenth largest city in China, is also known as "Ice City" for its long and cold winter.

The annual Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival has been held since 1985.

"Ice and Snow World" features illuminated full size buildings made from blocks of ice.

Bent Objects Wire Sculpture

Après des études et plusieurs années de travail dans le domaine de la photographie, Terry Border, basé à Greenwood, Indiana, a commencé à créer de petites sculptures en fil de fer.

Puis Terry Border s'est lançé dans la fabrication de mobiles et a ensuite créé de petits personnages (réalisés avec divers objets et aliments ainsi que des fils de fer) et les a mis en scène de façon amusante...




After studying and working several years in commercial photography, Terry Border, based in Greenwood, Indiana, started working in wire sculpture as a hobby.

Then, Terry Border made some mobiles for local galleries.

Terry Border uses wire, household objects and even food to create funny little sculptures.
